You can't find people like Almaghout. We were lucky to have him the while we did.
It feels like all the great men like him, Zakaraya Tamer, and Mamduh Adwan, they all left now about the same time..And sure there will be new great people, but not from the same caliber.
They were sad and complaining like the rest of us about many things here, but because of them I am still very much prouder of this place.

I feel frozen. Now people really are scared this beloved place will be hurt, already is.
Everyone is watching changes in currency..And what could I say now, when everything feels so useless..Hopeless.

Since the "liberation" war that turned everything upside down, and after a very weakened country was completely torn apart-And well, the fact that the democratic civil humanrights loving west is stile silent about another whole country here that was horribly erased from the world map does not help either- this region is really suffering.
I always felt that we should find a way to speak out, to remind, explain and perhaps awaken some people's conscience, or win some on our side who might help us reach out to the world..
The picture of the Arab Muslim world in the west is bad.

Hey people...If there are any of you here. I was very happy to read all the comments on the last post, and no I have not married ;) , so that is not why I have been away.

I wonder some times, when I try to imagine my future..if I will have a life partner or not?
When I was a kid I thought everything was so simple, and that surley I will be living happily with a man I love, have a nice happy family, nice good job, nice apartment to live in, and so on.
I could'nt wait until I got older and would start enjoying my existing grown up life.
Now that I did grow up I wish I never did.
There is no guaranty at all that you will find and have a nice place to live in, find love,find a job that will secure your future, hapiness and all that..
I see women around me, nice, smart and charming women, who never find someone to chare their lives with, that can be quite hard here .

I've been having headache often lately, I've been stressed and easily irritated with people around me and yet I know this is nothing to how stressed I will be later..Soon.
So taking a break from a book about the theory of relativity,while thinking about all the other stuff I should be doing as soon as possible too..

Recently I went to see the comedy play "3afwan America" in the theatre. Good play I must say..I really enjoyed it. I think a lot of common guys will (like to) identify with the main character.
A simple guy, far from rich, but a proud brave man.
