So I left Dhahran-Saudi Arabiafor good last Wednesday, and while waiting to get admitted for masters in thefall I’d be living in Damascus.Anyway staying at home doing nothing is not an option for me, I’m the kind ofpeople who get bored very easily. So I started job hunting this Saturday, andyesterday I was interviewed in Technolead for a programmer position, I took asimple test where they asked me to write some pseudo code and database ERdiagrams, then they tested my logic asking me to write some algorithms, andbefore I left their office, the manager closed the door of his office and askedme a simple straight question, “Shall I welcome you in Technolead?” So starting from the comingThursday I’d be officially working in my first post-graduation job, and to tellthe truth it’s not near my dream job financially or technically even thoughthey offered me a relatively generous package (thank god they don’t know aboutmy blog :-p), but I gotta take two things into consideration, the first thingthis is the job market in Syria, and I’m staying for 5 months top only (which Iinformed them about). I’d be working on .Net technologyeven though I am a hardcore J2EE guy, but again based on my observation theonly Arab country where I can work on J2EE is Saudi Arabia which is personallyout of question, so I’m left out to deal with the dominant Arab’s mentality whichis using the cheapest most annoying technology .Net. Anyway wish me luck :-D |
