Just wanted to send my warmest regards to all the loud-mouths who piled on Jill just after she was released from three months in captivity with a gun pointed at her head. I hope one day to see how you, particularly the guy who wrote in to Little Green Footballs to say that he’d be dead but not before he’d crushed his captors’ balls, would behave under threat of televised beheading.

And speaking of Dan Murphy, can we give that guy props for working quietly and tirelessly on the frontlines to get Jill released? I hear through the grapevine that since she was captured, he did practically nothing else but try to get her freed. He hasn’t poked his head up to take credit, and as far as I know, the first thing he’s said publicly about the case was that article defending her from her idiotic American attackers. Dan Murphy is a class act.
