A new media law By Mustafa Hamido Tuesday, April 04, 2006 According to Syrian officials the law of media is ready. A committee from Damascus University and ministry of information has just ended the law and it will be shown on the Syrian parliament later. A lot are waiting what the law may hold. According to well known Syrian journalists this law will be a huge jump in the mentality of official dealing with media. Somes hope that this law will end the era of official media and will lead to a hot competition between media groups which will be formed later. |
